Found this word, Emergent on one of the request we got at work:

Transient Houses

December 29th, 2008 by Build Vocabulary

We’ve been spending our Christmas vacation here in the summer capital of the Philippines – Baguio City.

Tonight is our last night here and will be heading back home tomorrow mid-day… Anyway, here a new word for you further build your vocabulary – Transient.

I keep on readin transient here.. Room or House for rent or Transient or something.. That’s why I look it up and found the definition out:

What is “Transient”?

It has several definition on Google but the most accurate for my case:

“one who stays for only a short time; “transient laborers” “.

Here are some other definition:

# transeunt: of a mental act; causing effects outside the mind
# (physics) a short-lived oscillation in a system caused by a sudden change of voltage or current or load
# ephemeral: lasting a very short time; “the ephemeral joys of childhood”; “a passing fancy”; “youth’s transient beauty”; “love is transitory but it is eternal”; “fugacious blossoms”
In acoustics and audio, a transient is a short-duration signal that represents a non-harmonic attack phase of a musical sound or spoken word. It contains a high degree of non-periodic components and a higher magnitude of high frequencies than the harmonic content of that sound. …

Truce and Peace Talks

December 27th, 2008 by Build Vocabulary

We are going to the Philippines summer capital even though it’s December and the weather is cold… It’s alright, it’s a perfect way to celebrate the holiday with the family.

As I was updating my blog, I came across a news in Yahoo (yeah, I’m checking my email). I then updated my video blog with the news and stated my sadness.

So, in building our vocabulary tonight, our word is “Truce” which means, straightforwardly – a ceasefire. It is a cease fire between to opposing group in a hope or a chance to talk peace.

The news was about Israel and Gaza/Palestines.

Here are two definition of “Truce”:

# A ceasefire (or truce) is a temporary stoppage of a war or any armed conflict, where each side of the conflict agrees with the other to suspend aggressive actions. …

# a period of time in which no fighting takes place due to an agreement between the opposed parties; an agreement between opposed parties in which …

Yuoporn Videos

December 13th, 2008 by Build Vocabulary

Yuoporn is the new vocabulary word of the day.. Although I recommend you put less attention to this one – yuoporn..

Yuoporn is the misspelled word for a popular video streaming website in the internet. It is actually quite popular even though yuoporn is the misspelled counterpart.

Anyway, consider this as another one of our non-sense word of the day that is totally useless, just like redtube and redtube vidios we posted here before… Yuoporn is not for everyone as you may have know by now. It is intended for viewers that knows what they’re looking for (yuoporn) and searching for)

Since you got here looking for either yuvutu videos or the yuvutu.com website itself, I will show it to you. Since this is a new word for you, we’ll be building your vocabulary again. This is an additional word for your word treasure.

But first, please leave a comment on how you got here. This will be just some kind of a surver ok? SO, how did you got here looking for yuvute? Is it through Googel? Through Yahhoo? or other search engine?

Did you type in ‘yuvutu‘ word along on “Google” page or on the browser’s URL text box? This thing still perplex me.. I mean, how can you make a mistake typing ‘yuvutu.com’ in an internet browser?

You can’t. You simply can’t.

Anyway, since we’re building our vocabulary here, let me define or tell something about yuvutu.

Yuvutu is a utube-like website, meaning the content of the entire yuvutu website has all videos… Now the thing that differs yuvutu with utube is the kinds of video it is hosting. Yutube is hosting all sorts of videos except the one for matured poeple.. that’s what yuvutu.com is hosting.

Yuvutu is just like Redtube, Tube 8, badjojo, spankwire and other similar site.. go ahead and search for it too.

Utube, Utube Videos, Utube.com

November 25th, 2008 by Build Vocabulary

Let me correct myself, Utube.com really is not the same at Utube.. my bad.

If you type in Utube.com on your web browser you’ll get a Universal Tube website or something which is completely unrelated to the word that we are about to define today – Utube.

What is Utube?

In a short and straight answer, Utube is Youtube… that world famous video streaming, video sharing website that is recently purchased by Googel.

In a more SEO and Google terminology, Utube is the most widely used keyword search when people are looking for the actual yuotube website.

Check out Utube’s Googel search trend for the past couple of years. As you can see from the graph below, Utube search trend is going up the roof.. even though the misspelled word for quotes (qoutes) has a high trend, it is no match for Utube.

Redtube, Redtube Videos Download

November 23rd, 2008 by Build Vocabulary

Redtube.com and redtube (videos) are the new words for today… Well, basically it’s just REDTUBE and the longer words (redtube videos and redtube.com) are just the variation of the word.

What is Redtube?

Literally, Redtube in a literal send of the word, a red-colored tube.. a tube, is basically an expression or word used to denote a television set or quite simply, TV.

Take note though that the usage of ‘red’ in redtube does not imply a color… It does however mean an adult type of thingy. Red as in r3d light d1strict or some sort.

Redtube.com is a website that hosts videos that is patterned (and got its name) from a well-known video website called utube err.. youtube. Both website (redtube and yutube) are quite the same actually, except the videos that they have.

Youtube.com has all kinds of videos.. all of it, all that you can think off except for one… that particulary type of videos are the ones that redtube has.

So if you are looking for redtube, you can find it here.. or at least have a clue where it is.

Emancipate, Emancipated Kid

October 31st, 2008 by Build Vocabulary

She came here last year, all alone. She’s an emancipated kid…

Tha’t the whole line that I heard (well at least that’s what I remembered) from the dialogue of the villain character in tonight’s episode of Supernatural.

Sam and Dean battles a century old witch that sacrifices people (3) to resurrect Samhain or Samhein, the Halloween man.

Anyway, here’s what Emancipate, means.. From the example sentence, it looks like it has something to do with self reliance and independence… Let’s consult Google….

Emancipate means, ;To free from bondage or involuntary servitude… Right! at least there the work ‘free from’ in there… :) Servitute may be another entry but I guess my guess is right.

Another good definition is give equal rights to; of women and minorities. Right again!

Now I get it… did you get it? Hope you use it as often chance you get.. Goodluck!
