Altruistic (which will always reminds me of Altruistic, the theme that I use on my Facebook proxy site) is the word of the day? week? month?.. anyway, I heard this word while watching House Episode 2 of Season 6 (Epic Fail) when ‘the one with the big nose’ (as House puts it) said that he resigns… Foreman said that he took House’s job to save their job… “How altruistic of you…”..

The next episode of LOST is called “LaFleur”.. That word sounded familiar but I can’t recall the place or site or anything that I come across with that word – LaFleur.
Anyway, one thing is certain it is the next LOST episode… I checked Google Dictionary and it says nothing on it.. But wikipedia identified who LaFleur was:
Guy Damien Lafleur, OC, CQ, (born September 20, 1951, in Thurso, Quebec), is a former professional ice hockey player and is widely regarded as one of the most naturally gifted and popular players ever to play professional ice hockey. Between 1971 and 1991, he played for the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers and Quebec Nordiques in an NHL career spanning 17 seasons and five Stanley Cup championships.
Anyway, Let’s all Watch LOST Episode LaFleur Online this coming wednesday!

..That your mother was a sick, infantile woman? Or that it was a mistake to ever had a child with here?
That was the line Gabriel’s father (Sylar) when Sylar asked why he abandoned them when he was a child.

Vocabulary building time! I had to pause 24’s Season 7 Episode 3 for this quickie post… Capitulate..
“So, unless I order our forces to stand down I’ll be condemning innoscent Americans to death. And if we capitulate, thousand of Sangalans will be slaughtered.”
That’s the line spoken by the President.

She came here last year, all alone. She’s an emancipated kid…
Tha’t the whole line that I heard (well at least that’s what I remembered) from the dialogue of the villain character in tonight’s episode of Supernatural.
Sam and Dean battles a century old witch that sacrifices people (3) to resurrect Samhain or Samhein, the Halloween man.
Anyway, here’s what Emancipate, means.. From the example sentence, it looks like it has something to do with self reliance and independence… Let’s consult Google….
Emancipate means, ;To free from bondage or involuntary servitude… Right! at least there the work ‘free from’ in there…
Servitute may be another entry but I guess my guess is right.
Another good definition is give equal rights to; of women and minorities. Right again!
Now I get it… did you get it? Hope you use it as often chance you get.. Goodluck!

Our new word for the day today is not really a word, it’s a phrase and an idiom (idiomatic expression)
I was watching FRIENDS awhile ago “The One WIth The Truth About London” epidose. This is the one where Rachel babysits Ross’ son, Ben. This is where Rachel accidentally teaches Ben a thing or two naugthy things…
That’s when Ross comes knocking and says:
I have a bone to pick with you.
Bone To Pick is an idiomatic expression that means a small disagreement, or in this example, it is more appropriately defined as a discussion of something that needs to be talked out… So ‘a bone to pick with someone’ means ‘a small disagreement with someone’.
And finally, my best vote for the best definition:
something to investigate, or to busy one’s self about; a dispute to be settled (with some one).
Update:
This “Bone To Pick” was also used in the movie “The Lion King” where the hyenas confront Scar that they have a ‘bone to pick’ with him and that they don’t have anything to eat.

This new word, Blunt, is once again taken from last night’s show, Heroes episode 7 of Season 3 – Eris Quod Sum.
I heard Arthur Petrelli says this to Sylar when the two of the are talking (and Peter got away)… “you are a blunt weapon”… or something like that.
You’re probably laughing, and yeah… I thought that was a complement or something but it turns out, after searching about ‘blunt’ in the internet, it meant quiet the opposite..
It means dull or in using the word with a knife or blade, a used one. Or make less sharp; “blunt the knives” something like that.
ALright, now I have an idea more or less… Blunt.

Eris Quod Sum is Latin for “I am What you will Be”.. it’s like my “Tempus Fugit” post way way way back in time.. which means “Time Flies” by the way.
Anyway, Eris Quod Sum, was tonight’s Heroes episode. Their 7th Epidose of the 3rd season.
How can we remember that phrase? I don’t know… let us associate..
Eris — QUod — SUm, I am What You will Be.. I can’t find any relationship.. hehehe, I guess I just have to remember.
